Big Screen on the Green!
Big screen coming to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus
Summer has arrived and we are bringing together our community to watch The Wimbledon Tennis Championships and free films on a big screen at the heart of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus between 30th June and 14th July.
Funded by Cambridge Biomedical Campus Limited, watch every shot on the 3.5×5 metre screen, and bring the family and friends to enjoy our film screenings, completely free and open to everyone – just turn up!
There will be a limited number of deck chairs and picnic blankets available, but those who are able to are encouraged to bring their own.
The screen is outside on grass, so please ensure you wear appropriate footwear, and bring suncream and water if the weather is hot. The Hub is just over the road with a shop and refreshments, and there is a WHSmith within Royal Papworth Hospital’s atrium, or you are welcome to bring your own food and drink.
Portaloo toilets will also be on site for the duration of the screen being up. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead and owners are responsible for ensure no damage to the green or presents left behind.

Buy a Fitzbillies picnic and support Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust
You are welcome to bring your own food as you watch the big screen, but you might want to consider supporting the wonderful work of Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust with extra special chocolate cupcakes, scones, jam and cream, or perhaps even a Chelsea bun or two from Fitzbillies.
This year Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT), the official hospital charity for both Addenbrooke’s and the Rosie hospitals, is celebrating its 30th birthday. To mark the occasion, Fitzbillies is selling a special Addenbrooke’s Tea Party collection with 20% of profits going to the charity, to help individuals and organisations host their own tea parties and raise money for the charity.
